Herzogenaurach, November 12, 2025 — PUMA strengthens its ties with African football: at the 35th Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, the German sports brand returns for the second time as CAF’s official technical partner – a collaboration that began in 2023 and has already become a defining alliance in the continent’s
game. Building on decades of involvement in African football, PUMA continues a relationship that has shaped some of the tournament’s most iconic moments over the past 30 years.
For nearly three decades, PUMA has been more closely connected to African football than any other international brand, equipping more national teams than any competitor. From Morocco – the first African team to reach a FIFA World Cup semifinal – to Cameroon’s Olympic gold in Sydney 2000 and AFCON champions such as Senegal, the record winners Egypt and the defending champions Ivory Coast, PUMA has been part of some of the continent’s most defining moments.
Beyond the pitch, PUMA has supported African football through grassroots and community initiatives. From the Cotton Made in Africa program that supported local farmers, to creative collaborations like the Africa Unity Kit and artist-designed jerseys, the brand has helped bring African culture and creativity into the global spotlight. Legendary players such as Samuel Eto’o, Yaya Touré and Jay-Jay Okocha stand as ambassadors of this long-standing partnership.
