The German Supply Chain Act is here - the EU Due Diligence Directive is upcoming! But what does it mean for global agricultural supply chains? What changes do companies have to prepare for and what effects can be expected as a result? Are laws sufficient to ensure the human rights due diligence of companies and will producers in the Global South eventually benefit from new regulations in sourcing countries? Which instruments are available for companies to address these demands?
The event will address potential impacts and challenges in implementing Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) in risk prone supply chains. Practical solutions to contribute to human rights fulfilment in general and the Right to Food of farmers and workers in particular will be presented and discussed.
The event will be held in English with simultaneous translation into Spanish. An online registration is required to participate in the event. You will receive the dial-in link and password after registration via mail.
